Our northern-most located biome at Variety National Park, the tundra region is by far the coldest and snowiest area within our borders. It's home to more than 50 animal species and over 200 unique kinds of plant life. Since the weather conditions can be harsh, we close this area off to the public during our winter season.
The tundra is snowy year-round, which allows for some of the best cross-country skiing in the world! We have ice skating, ski rentals, and snowman building contests for the Lynx Lodging cabins. There are several dining options within our park, though we advise either bringing your own food or purchasing a meal plan if you intend on lodging for more than 1 day.
